The Fifth Ladies Party Cover is the front page of the program for the Installation of Officers and page 3 is the out going President, Sam Breedon's, message to the chapter. This message was given on July 10, 1949. As you read the message, you will find that much of that message rings true today as we continue the tradition.
The Regional Preliminarys were held in Miami in April 1949 and as you will see, the Florida Knights from Tampa #1 is in the contest.

Page 2 explains the contest process and how the winner will proceed to the 'Big Show'. It also contains the list of judges and the categories they judge.

Florida Knights win the contest (Tampa Morning Tribune, May 2, 1949) and will represent 'Dixie' in the National Contest in Buffalo, NY. See picture of the Knights. The Dixie District covers nine southeastern states.
